Art on Loan

Fallbrook Art In Public Places - Art On Loan“Fat Happies” by Barrett DeBusk of Austin, Texas is on display at the Mike Choate Early Childhood Education Center, 407 South Mission Road which is at the intersection of South Mission and Fallbrook Streets.

The two pieces were dedicated as art on loan on May 16, 2008 and will be a part of our community until November 2009 when they will be returned to the artist.  The pieces are available for purchase if funds are raised (see Donations).

The artist, Barrett DeBusk, has been creating and showing art since his college days at North Texas State University, where he earned his BFA and MFA.  DeBusk’s satirical look at life combined with his natural ability to create has given form to an incredible collection of work that began in the early 90’s when he began creating contemporary wall sculptures and furniture.
