The “Happies” located in front of the Choate Early Development Center will be staying in Fallbrook thanks to the generous donations of the community and the cooperation of the artist who reduced his price for us. The “Happies” had been on loan for the past two years and had become a local landmark. The community was able to raise the $6,000 necessary to complete the purchase with generous contributions from Otis & Linda Heald, Mickey & Dawne Goodwin McCullough and Arlyne Ingold. The art project with children from the Choate Early Development Center raised funds, donation cans were placed with local merchants and many members of the community personally donated money to make certain the “Happies” stayed in Fallbrook.
